Samos Young Artists Festival will be held, for the 7th consecutive year, in the ancient theater of Pythagorion, Samos from August 7 to August 13, 2016.
Daniel Nodel, the Artistic Director of the festival, states: "We would like to welcome you in the beautiful ancient theater of Pythagorion, where 2500 years ago Pythagoras has laced the laws of Music and Physics.
This year again we will have the chance to connect contradictions and contrasts. You will hear classical Music and Jazz, Opera, Folklore and music of the world.
Experience famous established musicians and young talents, at the beginning of a promising profession, from all over the world.
Here in Samos, within sight of the formal edge of Orient and Occident, we would like to overcome borders and build bridges over national and musical borders, bringing together the established and the new.
Music connects people across cultural, religious and linguistic border like no other. Join us on an exciting musical journey around the world in seven days".

Visitors Information
The concerts take place daily from August 7 – 13, 2016 at 8:30 p.m. in
the antique open-air theater of Pythagorion on the Greek island of
Samos. Admission tickets can be purchased at the box office for 5 euros.
The theater was constructed in the fourth century B.C. and is located on a hillside at the foot of Mount Kastri, near the Panagia Spiliani monastery. It looks out over the harbor city of Pythagorion – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and the sea. Today, the theater has 1000 seats.
When travelling on the main road to Vathy (capital of Samos Island), turn left towards the Eupalinus Tunnel just before leaving town. The theater is within 20 minutes walking distance of Pythagorion. Due to the traffic situation, those who drive are recommended to arrive early.
